Kleť lookout tower in Blanský les - the oldest stone lookout tower in the Czech Republic

Jihočeský kraj > Okres České Budějovice

The 18-meter-high stone tower stands on the top of Kleť Mountain (1083 m), the highest peak in the Blanský Forest, since 1825, when it was built here by Prince Josef Schwarzenberg for the private purposes of his family. The lookout tower has been open to the public since the second half of the 19th century.
